Please do not gift-wrap items: provide gift-wrapping or gift bags separately. Your gifts will be distributed at the Holiday party by OBKF Board members to many different HIV/AIDS Service Providers from the Capital Region for distribution to their clients.

All funds raised by OBKF support programs that offer direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS. The programs that OBKF support do not receive any State or Federal assistance.

For more than 20 years, you have supported Our Brothers’ Keepers Foundation and its mission. Whether through your generous donations of money, resources, time, or your attendance at one of our events, your contribution has benefited local people affected by HIV/AIDS.

The Board of Directors appreciates the support that you have shown us. We now ask for a different commitment from you; we ask you to consider joining us as a member of the Board.

As a member of the Board, you will:

Plan, market, and implement events of interest to members like you;

Work with local businesses who also support our mission;

Participate in all decisions of the Board including the review and approval of grant applications submitted by organizations seeking funding to support programs aligned with OBKF’s mission; and

Have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues on the Board as we fulfill our mission.

All we ask for is a modest commitment of your time (approximately 6 hours a month) and resources (by attending and supporting our events and fundraising efforts).

OBKF's Annual Appeal

The slow recovery of the economy and uncertainty of future funding have hit many organizations hard, none more so than the organizations that you support through your donation to Our Brothers’ Keepers Foundation.

Budget cuts and rising costs are having a negative impact on some organizations’ ability to provide necessary services to improve the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS and their families and loved ones. Your generosity and support are more critical than ever as we try to meet the rising demand for funding.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, OBKF has funded a number of critical services during the last year including:

Funding prevention and outreach to youth at risk of infection;
Providing much needed psycho-social opportunities; and
Supplying emergency and crisis funds for HIV positive individuals.

Please consider a donation to help OBKF continue to support critical services. As always, because OBKF is comprised entirely of volunteers and has a very low administrative overhead, the majority of your donation goes directly to fund needed services.
